A Night of Farming

Last night was a lazy night for me. But then again lots of nights the past week or so have been lazy for me. I'm really ready to tone the whole humping heroics every night down some. Of course I want to finish out my rep with the Argent Crusade and then finish up the Horde Expedition, but I'm ready to work on some other things. Last night I ran Halls of Lightening with Delynth, Noxxic, Jules, and Evildeio. (Yep, he's a creative genius!) We pretty much flew through that place. Had a couple of casualties. Mainly from certain death knights popping Army of the Dead. I won't mention any names since there's three in the group. Anywho, had a couple of deaths on the boss, but our second death we killed the punk. We just couldn't stay alive after he went down. hehe So HOL done, no axe for the noobknights. I dropped group and let them pick up Kroffjr to go blast through another dungeon that I had no particular interest in running save the achievements I have left.

So I jumped on Neeuq and headed out to Sholazar Basin to do some farming. I've been there since 71 and I'm barely into 72 just farming for mats. I can usually acquire a nice stash of Saronite and random herbs for Kroff. Last night I got a couple of stacks of bars for Kroff to try and get his last point in Engineering and collected a bunch of herbs for Noxxic to work on his Inscription. Kroff didn't get his last point but Noxxic got high enough to start making the cards for the Nobles deck.

After reading BBB's blog yesterday about a certain little trinket, I've decided I'm going to try and get it for myself. He made a very convincing argument for Darkmoon Card: Greatness in yesterday's blog. I've really only had my sights set on the 111 trinket out of Azjol-Nerub and hadn't given much thought to a second trinket. After all my Commendation of Kael'thas still works nicely for me and has saved my butt numerous times. My goal is to get the Essence of Gossamer though to replace the Commendation. My own personal bubble, yea, that would be nice for times when Jules isn't around to save my furry behind.

In any case, so I farmed last night. For a while. It really wasn't that bad. I hung out on vent with our group as they braved Ahn'kahet and chatted with them. When they were done I passed out goodies I had collected and hopped on my Death Knight for a few. She's so close to 62! I really wanted to get her there but Kroffjr, Jules, and I decided to walk through Sethekk Halls and try for the Raven Lord. Yea, old school, I know, but I really want that freakin bird. According to Wowwiki the drop rate is less than 1% but seeing as everyone and their brother, well everyone but me that is, has one, the chances have to be a little greater than that. Our goal is to three man the heroic until we see the thing drop for all three of us. I figure I'll have my Lower City to exalted by then. I only need 8,354 more rep. And if the drop rate is really that bad, I figure a few THOUSAND runs will get it for me at 3 rep a kill. (That was total sarcasm for those of you who missed it.) Ah well, night one of the grind down. Let the countdown begin!
